Bill Jansen's 1929 Ford Roadster

I Started building this roadster in late 1968 and had it on the road by June 1970. I was 20 Years old at the time and trying to build a Hot Rod on a budget so the engine and transmission came out of a 56 Customline and went straight into the roadster without being rebuilt it had had some work done on it previously, but it did the job nicely. The roadster was painted in the back yard using a vacuum cleaner but came out quite nice. The first major Rod Run I went on with the car was the Coffs Harbour Rod Run in 1971 which was a 600 mile trip each way just for a weekend Run and the roads were a lot worse back then but we made it without any problems. This Roadster was used quite often during the next 12 Months after which it was dismantled and the engine transferred into my next Rod a 1934 Ford sedan.
