Flamin' Caddy
Danny wanted flames on his 60 Caddy Convertible, so a few weeks ago, he
arranged with Matty Jansen to do the job at our garage in Jerrabomberra. Matty
told Danny what was required in the way of paint and equipment, so all the
necessary stuff was purchased in advance. Firstly, however, that side trim just
had to go.....
 |
After removing the chrome and stainless trim, the sides were
all rubbed back and smoothed out. |
 |
The driver's side was more of a pain than the passenger's
side, because we had already done it once. Nevertheless, it was a pretty
tedious job. |
 |
Once all the holes were rubbed back, the bog went in and was
blocked with 400 wet and dry. The finished result was pretty good,
considering we were rank amateurs, as you can see in the next page.... |
